The Mazda CX-7 is a mid-size crossover that is great for anyone with a larger family who likes to go on the occasional trip away. You couldn’t go far wrong with a good second hand Mazda CX-7, though we would recommend going for one with a diesel engine. With the CX-7 Mazda have attempted to provide a Crossover that is still sporty and fun, almost like it where a hot hatch trapped in an SUV’s body. And they do pull it off. SO if you need something that can take your family to the far reaches of the country, yet want to have a bit of fun when you are travelling solo in between getaways, the Mazda CX-7 may well tick all of your boxes.
The Hyundai ix35 is another strong crossover. It looks a little more like an SUV than the likes of the Mazda CX-7, so if you’re into that look then the Hyundai ix35 may be the better option for you. It makes sense as a workhorse but also a car that you can take on trips. You can get a second hand Hyundai ix35 that’s a 10 plate for a very appealing price.
Infiniti FX (QX70)
Now for something a little more luxurious, and perhaps a little more unique. Infiniti is yet to really take off in the UK so you get the added bonus of driving a car that not many other people would have, if that’s what you are into. Again in terms of space the Infiniti FX offers what you would like from a crossover though it is less focused on being rugged and more focused on being luxurious. So if you are going to use your crossover for daily commutes to work then this might be more up your street. If you want a bargain go with a second hand Infiniti FX, you won’t be able to get a new one, though as new Infiniti FX models are now called the Infiniti QX70.
